It kinda looks like an Euroleague team no? 10 white players with 2 or 3 african american reinforcements. Not all people are happy with the racial makeup.
Minnesota Timberwolves fans may notice something different about their team this year. In a league in which American-born black players made up 75 percent of roster spots in 2011, the Timberwolves will have an opening-day roster comprising just 33 percent black players (five out of 15). According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, this year’s squad will be the league’s whitest since the 1980s Boston Celtics. Is that a problem? Some civil rights leaders in Minneapolis think so. Tyrone Terrell, chairman of St. Paul’s African American leadership council, told the Star-Tribune that he thinks the unbalanced roster could be seen as a ploy by the ownership to sell the team to a majority-white fan base. ‘How did we get a roster that resembles the 1955 Lakers?’ Terrell said to the Star-Tribune. ‘I think everything is a strategy. Nothing happens by happenstance.’
B.S. The Wolves have been playing better than they've ever been, even with stars like Love and Rubio out. They "additioned by subtractioned" 4 black players: Beasley, Wesley Johnson, Ellington and Martell Webster

I'm Voting For Jeremy Lin and James Harden in the All Star Game

My current favorite backcourt duo. Putting them over Kobe and Nash... and Deron Williams and Joe Johnson.

Jerry Colangelo Reneged On Promise

Colangelo used to say that he wants to send a basketball team to represent the USA, not a collection of All STars. How can he say that this current US Squad is anything but the latter? Too many guards, not enough big men. Not enough balance on the roster. Would have been worse if the smallish PF Blake Griffin wasn't replaced with Anthony Davis.

Wouldn't the U.S. team be better if they replaced Andre Igoudala with Kendrick Perkins? Perkins may be a role player, but he's a valuable one, giving the Americans the defender they need to handle the Gasol Brothers. See, the U.S. may have the best athletes and wing players, but Spain has the best big men in the Olympics. Gasols are all stars and Ibaka is one of the better PFs in the NBA.

I predict if the U.S. loses to Spain in the finals, Jerry will step down from Team U.S.A duties.

Suns Should Pursue Courtney Lee if Gordon Deal Fails

offer him around 3 years, 15-18 Million. Use Goran Dragic to recruit him. Promise Lee a starting Job. plus, the suns are the only team that can give him the minutes he wants. just look at the suns roster, how many shooting guards under contract do you see?

Obama puts curse on Jeremy Lin

After Obama shamelessly tried to politicize "Linsanity" by claiming that he discovered Jeremy Lin while in Harvard during Bill Simmons' podcast. He was on the Lin Bandwagon at the very beginning raw. Pati si pareng Bill hindi makapaniwala.

Now the Knicks are on a 5 game losing streak, and losing their 7 of the last 10 games. Thanks Barry!

Why are there so few good white AMERICAN players in the NBA lately?

We used to have a Bird, McHale, Stockton, Chambers, and Majerle in the NBA. Now they're all mediocre or overhyped like Kevin Love.

Is it because during the last two decades, the NBA or the American game relied more on (or highlighted) athleticism over fundamentals, and that has wiped out a whole generation of white American star players? White Americans may just be as lacking fundamentally/Bball IQ-wise as many black American players, but at least blacks still have the athleticism part. They (white american ballers) don't have the confidence or fearlessness of some European players. It's been beaten out of their system for the last 20 years. White american players have been chickified (ie sissyfied/neutered/emasculated).

In the past, American old school players were able to do three things on offense: shoot, drive and post up. Now it's just 2/3. Prime example: Lebron James, Amare Stoudemire, Dwight Howard

There are still lots of good white players in the NBA, but most of them though are from Europe and South America.

One last adjustment for Indiana

in the last five minutes of the 4th qtr, insert Dunleavy for Foster or Hibbert. You need shooters and better offense. Derrick Rose (and Korver from the corner) is taking all the shots in the late 4th qtr for the Bulls.
